Overview

The calm link between Salzburg and the Inn Valley

Innsbruck Airport (IATA: INN) sits on the western edge of the Tyrolean capital, framed by the Nordkette range and the Inn Valley. In winter it becomes one of the busiest charter hubs in the Alps: every Saturday thousands of guests land from across Europe before heading on to Sölden, St. Anton, Ischgl or Kitzbühel. That is precisely where our private transfer fits in. We connect Salzburg and Innsbruck Airport in both directions, door to door, with no changes and no waiting on a cold platform.

The route covers roughly 190 kilometres and takes about two hours depending on traffic and weather. There are two ways to do it. The faster line runs via the A8 and a short German corner near Rosenheim onto the A12 Inntal motorway, passing Kufstein and Wörgl into Innsbruck. The fully Austrian alternative goes through Lofer, Fieberbrunn and the Tyrolean lowlands. On the day, our chauffeurs choose the more comfortable option based on traffic, roadworks and snowfall.

We treat both directions with the same care. Travelling from Salzburg, we collect you at your address, hotel or at Salzburg Airport (SZG) and deliver you to the Innsbruck check-in in good time. Landing the other way in INN, your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign and walks you to the waiting car. No searching, no queues, no stress after a long day of flying.

If your plans involve the Salzburg side, keep the alternative in mind: many of our guests fly into Salzburg Airport (SZG) and are chauffeured on to Tyrol, or the reverse. We serve both airports equally and align pickup times precisely to your flight schedule.

Every journey is priced as an agreed flat rate. There are no meter surprises, no surcharges for luggage and no hidden toll or vignette costs. You receive your price in advance through the booking calculator or inquiry form, so you always know exactly where you stand.

Stefan Reiter, Senior Chauffeur and Tyrol Route Lead

I have driven the Salzburg to Innsbruck connection for more than ten years, summer and winter. In deep winter, Saturday is the pinch point: when the charter wave lands at INN, traffic backs up around Wörgl and before the tunnels in the lower Inn Valley. So on changeover days I build in extra buffer and switch to the Austrian route via Fieberbrunn when needed. Guests notice none of it, except that we arrive relaxed and on time.

The short German corner near Rosenheim is usually the fastest line, but it requires the German motorway vignette and attention at the speed checks there. Both are included with us and entirely routine. When it snows I fit chains in good time, especially when the trip does not end at the airport but continues into a ski area like Sölden or St. Anton. On a wintry road, safety always comes before the clock for me.

My advice to travellers: give us your flight number, then we track the flight and you need not worry about anything, even if the landing at INN shifts. Guests travelling via Salzburg Airport are just as well looked after, since both airports are part of our daily territory. In the end, what matters is that you step out and say that was a calm, pleasant ride. That is exactly why I am behind the wheel.
