"From Tokyo, 13 hours of flying. Sebastian said nothing for the first 40 minutes – that was perfect. Espresso would have been too much, cold water was exactly right."

Vienna Schwechat is Austria's gate to the world – direct flights from Tokyo, Doha, New York, Bangkok and Singapore. Travellers landing there for Salzburg often arrive after 12+ hours in the air. We turn the final 3h 10 into a blanket, an espresso and a Mercedes that delivers you gently.
Where Munich is a Schengen hub with mostly European routes, Vienna is Austria's Star Alliance gateway for routes from Doha (Qatar), Tokyo (ANA, Austrian), Bangkok (Thai), Singapore (Singapore Airlines), New York and Chicago (United, Austrian) and Dubai (Emirates). People landing here usually arrive after 12–18 hours of flying and need something different from someone fresh in from Frankfurt.
We calibrate the transfer accordingly. Our VIE chauffeurs are specifically trained for long-haul arrival service: they speak fluent English (Japanese, Mandarin or Russian on request), they know you don't want city-history monologues after a 13-hour flight, and they routinely switch on the Wi-Fi before your arrival because you'll likely want to ping family.
The vehicle itself is optimised for comfort: pre-heated seats (winter), cold-soaked towels and still water (summer), blankets, hand sanitiser, hand cream. The Mostviertel rest stop – a 15-minute pause at a farmer's service area with toilets and fresh apple juice – isn't about the route, it's for you. We recommend it to everyone arriving from a flight over 8 hours.
We track your flight live; the chauffeur arrives 15 min before landing at the exit.
Name sign, takeover of main luggage, brief walk to the P3 parking deck.
295 km with optional Mostviertel stop after 90 minutes.
Hotel, private address or Hellbrunn/Anif – handed over personally.

Long-haul specialist · UHNW arrival certified
The biggest mistake less experienced chauffeurs make is small talk in the first 30 minutes after a long-haul arrival. Anyone who's just flown 13 hours has too much adrenaline, not enough sleep, and usually an emotional mix of relief and exhaustion. The last thing they should hear is "how was your flight?".
My protocol: greet by name, suggest a seat choice, load luggage, check seatbelt, then silence. Soft classical plays in the cabin (Mozart piano concertos – heading to Salzburg, it isn't intrusive). After 30 minutes I quietly ask whether to adjust climate or whether anyone fancies the Mostviertel stop. If the guest engages, the door for conversation is open. If not, I keep it closed.
For families with toddlers after a long-haul, I have a small trick: I offer water for the kids right away and a chocolate bar (with parents' permission). 95% of parents are grateful – kids are taken care of, parents can close their eyes for five minutes. That's the service hour nobody records, but everyone remembers.
